Fero Király (1979) is an artist and teacher. He deals with art projects with an overlap in performance, sound art and sound installations, interpretations of contemporary music, the development of audiovisual instruments, as well as educational projects in the field of music, multimedia and creative coding. He uses new frontier experimental positions, creates his own digital tools and likes to collaborate on projects with other artists with a multidisciplinary focus. Together with Eva Vozárová, they lead the n.g.o. association ooo , which is the main platform for these activities, among which the intermedia international event JAMA stands out, which they have been organizing since 2019.

Fero Király is a graduate of the Faculty of Music at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, where he studied piano. He works as a freelance artist and teaches the subject SOUND at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava at the Department of intermedia. As an external teacher, he taught at the Comenius University in Bratislava at the Faculty of Philosophy and Pedagogy and the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica at the Faculty of Music - Department of Composition and Conducting. At the Faculty of Education of Comenius University, he also defended his PhD with a dissertation entitled New Media in Art Education at Primary School.

As a music performer, he devoted himself exclusively to the interpretation of 20th and 21st century works and a detailed mapping of Philip Glass’s early works of minimal music, most of which he premiered in Slovakia - from clubs to the two largest cathedrals (Košice, Bratislava) and festivals. Thanks to this, his most famous projects include the Cluster ensemble (along with Ivo Šiller and Zuzana Biščáková), who won several awards and significant warranty reviews on Guardian and Pitchfork for the album Cluster ensemble plays Philip Glass.

Recently, he has been working on microtonality and live coding with digital media. With his sound installations from the last period Chronika and Water music III, he deals with the themes of language and time. He uses free open-source software for his work: JACK and SuperCollider on Linux. Free software is and always has been an important part of its work and ethics, and therefore it is also a contributor to several open-source projects.

In his pedagogical field, he is the author of the audiovisual musical instrument Zvukodrom for children and music / music education teachers, as well as the *Botanical Garden, which contains graphic scores, compositions and sound games for children.
